Farouk focuses on the software space in North America, responsible for the Mercury fund in the region. Farouk joined Hg in 2023 and serves on the boards of CINC Systems and Empyrean Solutions. He was previously a Founding Partner at SQN Investors where he helped build the firm’s private equity practice focused on structured and control investments in global software companies. Prior to SQN, Farouk spent over a decade at HGGC and JMI Equity, leading and serving on the boards of numerous enterprise software investments. He started his career in technology M&A at Union Square Advisors.
